La paix transversale va donc au-del\u00e0 du concept novateur de paix n\u00e9gative et positive de Johan Galtung et elle introduit une nouvelle approche holistique et dynamique de la paix. Il s&rsquo;agit de comprendre et d\u2019inscrire la guerre et la paix dans un continuum et de promouvoir la coexistence entre les communaut\u00e9s concern\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>Par cons\u00e9quent, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tude de la paix transversale, le discours ne se d\u00e9veloppe plus \u00e0 partir de l&rsquo;analyse traditionnelle de la guerre et de la paix mais \u00e0 partir du tissu social des communaut\u00e9s dans un contexte donn\u00e9. De plus, bien que de nombreuses \u00e9tudes portant sur la violence et les conflits en Afrique ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9es, tr\u00e8s peu sont consacr\u00e9es \u00e0 la construction d\u2018une paix durable sur le continent. De ce fait, <em>Thinking Afric<\/em>a vise \u00e0 combler ce vide \u00e0 travers nos activit\u00e9s de recherche, de formation et de publication.<\/p>\n<p><em>Thinking Afric<\/em>a\u00a0est un r\u00e9seau d\u2019universitaires, de jeunes chercheurs et de chercheurs confirm\u00e9s, d\u2019experts et de toutes les personnes qui s&rsquo;int\u00e9ressent \u00e0 l&rsquo;Afrique et qui offrent de nouvelles perspectives sur les questions relatives \u00e0 la paix. En tant que groupe de r\u00e9flexion ind\u00e9pendant sur les politiques publiques, nous formulons des recommandations, appuy\u00e9es par des faits et des recherches rigoureuses, pour les gouvernements africains, l&rsquo;Union africaine et les organisations internationales, les analystes, les professionnels, les d\u00e9cideurs et les m\u00e9dias. Nous publions des notes en version papier et en ligne et diffusons sur une web TV les entretiens avec les intellectuels et les experts influents sur les enjeux en Afrique.<\/p>\n<p>Bas\u00e9 \u00e0 Abidjan (C\u00f4te d&rsquo;Ivoire), nous cherchons \u00e0 approfondir la compr\u00e9hension de la paix transversale, \u00e0 promouvoir de nouvelles voix capable de faire avancer la recherche ind\u00e9pendante sur la paix et sur les questions relatives \u00e0 la coexistence pacifique en Afrique.
