Directeur de publication de la revue \u00ab Le cahier philosophique d\u2019Afrique \u00bb, Mahamad\u00e9 Savadogo est auteur de plusieurs ouvrages aux \u00e9ditions L\u2019Harmattan et aux Presses Universitaires de Namur, dont \u00ab Penser l\u2019Engagement \u00bb, \u00ab La philosophie de l\u2019action collective \u00bb et \u00ab La parole et la cit\u00e9 \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Dans cet entretien accord\u00e9 \u00e0 Thinking Africa, le philosophe burkinab\u00e8 rel\u00e8ve la pertinence de la philosophie dans la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 aujourd\u2019hui, d\u00e9veloppe sa r\u00e9flexion sur l\u2019engagement et ses implications politiques, interroge les formes de l\u2019action collective et explique pour les insurrections port\u00e9es par les mouvements sociaux ne d\u00e9bouchent pas n\u00e9cessairement sur une r\u00e9volution, comme l\u2019atteste le cas du Burkina Faso.<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-divider su-divider-style-dotted\" style=\"margin:15px 0;border-width:3px;border-color:#999999\"><\/div>\nQuelques verbatims extraits de l&rsquo;interview<\/p>\n<p>Sur le lien entre pens\u00e9e et engagement<br \/>\n<div class=\"su-quote su-quote-style-default\"><div class=\"su-quote-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">Contrairement \u00e0 ce qu\u2019on pourrait croire, il n\u2019y a pas de s\u00e9paration, entre l\u2019engagement d\u2019un c\u00f4t\u00e9, et la pens\u00e9e, de l\u2019autre. La pens\u00e9e elle-m\u00eame r\u00e9pond \u00e0 une qu\u00eate qui correspond \u00e0 une forme d\u2019engagement. Donc, toute pens\u00e9e aussi th\u00e9orique, aussi sp\u00e9culative, puisse-t-elle appara\u00eetre, peut conduire \u00e0 un prolongement pratique aussi bien sur le terrain de l\u2019\u00e9thique que celui de la politique.<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Sur l\u2019engagement fondamental<br \/>\n<div class=\"su-quote su-quote-style-default\"><div class=\"su-quote-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">L\u2019engagement fondamental concerne notre vision de l\u2019existence et il met en jeu la conviction que la vie m\u00e9rite d\u2019\u00eatre v\u00e9cue. Si vous consid\u00e9rez que la vie, dans son ensemble, est absurde et ne m\u00e9rite pas qu\u2019on s\u2019y attache, \u00e9videmment, toutes les autres pr\u00e9occupations deviennent secondaires. L\u2019engagement fondamental nous permet d\u2019avoir une vision positive qui consiste en ceci que l\u2019exp\u00e9rience des \u00e9checs et des malheurs ne nous enl\u00e8ve pas, au bout du compte, l\u2019envie de nous attacher \u00e0 la vie.<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Sur l\u2019engagement ordinaire<br \/>\n<div class=\"su-quote su-quote-style-default\"><div class=\"su-quote-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">L\u2019engagement ordinaire concerne l\u2019adh\u00e9sion \u00e0 une cause particuli\u00e8re, qui peut \u00eatre politique, sociale, sportive, culturelle.<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Sur le r\u00f4le de la parole philosophique dans la soci\u00e9t\u00e9<br \/>\n<div class=\"su-quote su-quote-style-default\"><div class=\"su-quote-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">Tous les grands philosophes que nous connaissons, notamment tous ceux qui se sont int\u00e9ress\u00e9s \u00e0 la politique, se sont aussi interrog\u00e9s sur la mani\u00e8re de contribuer \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9volution de leur soci\u00e9t\u00e9 soit \u00e0 travers le soutien \u00e0 ce que j\u2019appelle l\u2019action politique institutionnalis\u00e9e, soit au contraire, \u00e0 travers l\u2019adh\u00e9sion \u00e0 ce que j\u2019appelle, les formes contestataires de la politique.<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Sur les organisations de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile<br \/>\n<div class=\"su-quote su-quote-style-default\"><div class=\"su-quote-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">La profusion des organisations de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile est aussi le signe que l\u2019Etat ne parvient pas lui-m\u00eame \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 sa propre vocation dans les diff\u00e9rentes sph\u00e8res de la vie sociale. C\u2019est cette incapacit\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 sa propre vocation qui, en retour, encourage l\u2019\u00e9mergence et l\u2019action des organisations de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile.<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Sur les limites de l\u2019insurrection de 2014 au Burkina Faso<br \/>\n<div class=\"su-quote su-quote-style-default\"><div class=\"su-quote-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">La le\u00e7on principale de l\u2019insurrection de 2014 au Burkina est que les mouvements sociaux ont conduit \u00e0 des changements, mais ces changements sont limit\u00e9s. Nous avons eu un changement d\u2019hommes politiques \u00e0 la t\u00eate du Burkina, mais nous n\u2019avons pas eu un changement de syst\u00e8me politique et social dans son ensemble. En d\u2019autres termes, nous avons eu une insurrection populaire, certes, mais nous n\u2019avons pas eu de r\u00e9volution. Il ne faut pas croire que les mouvements sociaux, en eux-m\u00eames, peuvent conduire \u00e0 une transformation radicale de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9.<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Sur la r\u00e9volution<br \/>\n<div class=\"su-quote su-quote-style-default\"><div class=\"su-quote-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">Pour qu\u2019il y ait r\u00e9volution, il faut qu\u2019il y ait un accompagnement des mouvements sociaux, par un mouvement politique au sens clair.
