En mobilisant une heuristique de la \u00ab dialectique de l&rsquo;ouvert et du ferm\u00e9 \u00bb et la notion-cl\u00e9 d&rsquo;\u00ab \u00e9valuation \u00bb, l&rsquo;auteur r\u00e9fute la conception r\u00e9ductrice d&rsquo;une identit\u00e9 rattach\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;espace fini du terroir et d\u00e9montre que les valeurs se r\u00e9inventent en fonction des mouvements de d\u00e9territorialisation et de reterritorialisation des lieux de sens. Il pr\u00e9sente enfin la crise de sens contemporaine comme le fruit d&rsquo;une urbanisation galopante, beaucoup plus que d&rsquo;une ali\u00e9nation culturelle vis-\u00e0-vis l&rsquo;Occident.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3150\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thinkingafrica.org\/V2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/bachirdiagne2.jpg\" alt=\"SOULEYMANE BACHIR  DIAGNE\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thinkingafrica.org\/V2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/bachirdiagne2.jpg 805w, https:\/\/www.thinkingafrica.org\/V2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/bachirdiagne2-600x338.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Cette note de recherche s&rsquo;int\u00e9resse \u00e0 l&rsquo;article de Souleymane Bachir Diagne \u00ab L&rsquo;avenir de la tradition \u00bb paru dans l&rsquo;ouvrage S\u00e9n\u00e9gal.  Trajectoires d&rsquo;un \u00c9tat, dirig\u00e9 par Momar-Coumba Diop et publi\u00e9 par le Codesria en 1992.  Quoique dat\u00e9e, cette \u00e9tude demeure d\u00e9terminante pour qui souhaite alimenter une r\u00e9flexion nuanc\u00e9e sur l&rsquo;identit\u00e9 collective, au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal tout particuli\u00e8rement, mais aussi, sur l&rsquo;ensemble du continent africain trop souvent coinc\u00e9 dans l&rsquo;antagonisme conceptuel de \u00ab la tradition contre la modernit\u00e9 \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Cette recension s&rsquo;articulera autour de quatre axes.  Elle d\u00e9butera par une mise en contexte situant d&rsquo;abord l&rsquo;auteur et son parcours intellectuel et ensuite, l&rsquo;article au c\u0153ur de ce parcours et des d\u00e9bats relatifs \u00e0 la culture (I).  Une fois faites ces remarques introductives, nous r\u00e9sumerons les grands axes du cadre th\u00e9orique de Diagne et expliciterons les concepts-cl\u00e9s de sa pens\u00e9e : dialectique de l&rsquo;ouvert et du ferm\u00e9, \u00e9valuations, d\u00e9territorialisation, reterritorialisation (II).  Nous verrons ensuite comment se d\u00e9ploie cette conceptualisation dans le cas du S\u00e9n\u00e9gal, en \u00e9tudiant les processus de d\u00e9territorisalisation et de reterritorialisation ayant men\u00e9s \u00e0 l&rsquo;islamisation progressive des \u00e9valuations (III).
