Il vise \u00e0 examiner comment son r\u00f4le de m\u00e9diateur lui permet de d\u00e9ployer une forme particuli\u00e8re de souverainet\u00e9 autorisant la r\u00e9interpr\u00e9tation de ses mandats, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 mobiliser diff\u00e9rents registres de l\u00e9gitimit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Particuli\u00e8rement, il convient d\u2019analyser le \u00ab syst\u00e8me Compaor\u00e9 \u00bb en action, afin de mieux en saisir les m\u00e9thodes contre-intuitives et peu conventionnelles, pourtant relativement efficaces dans le cas ivoirien, mais tant d\u00e9cri\u00e9es par la litt\u00e9rature. La d\u00e9monstration s\u2019articule autour de quatre arguments.<\/p>\n<p>D\u2019abord, la m\u00e9diation ivoirienne est un exemple typique de la personnalisation dans la r\u00e9solution de conflit ; ensuite, Compaor\u00e9 est marqu\u00e9 par l\u2019h\u00e9ritage conservateur d\u2019Houphou\u00ebt-Boigny, qui le pousse \u00e0 envisager la stabilit\u00e9 r\u00e9gionale en lien avec une certaine configuration partis et des hommes au pouvoir. Troisi\u00e8mement, l\u2019\u00e9conomie politique de la m\u00e9diation Compaor\u00e9 tend \u00e0 montrer l\u2019importance de l\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat personnel dans les processus visant \u00e0 \u00e9tablir des normes communes dans les n\u00e9gociations.
